Public awareness regarding healthier and more environmentally friendly food products continues to increase. This growing awareness has encouraged WMUU to innovate its egg production system, notably through the implementation of a cage free layer farming system. This farming method not only benefits human health but also emphasizes animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
The cage free layer farming model provides significantly more space for chick compared to conventional caged systems. In this more natural environment, chicken are free to perch, interact with other, roam freely, and forage for food. These behaviors contribute to healthier skin, reduced parasites, and overall improved well being. As a result, chicken are generally healthier and experience lower levels of stress in such natural conditions.
